STATEMENT OF POSITION:
Manage client correspondence as it relates to claims. Review consumer loan files and develop comprehensive correspondence to be sent to clients explaining the claim disposition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Initiate all correspondence with insured to inform them of the disposition of their claims.

Develop a complete understanding of the claims process to recognize the type of correspondence is required.

Review and understand consumer loan files to summarize claim disposition to insured in writing.

Review the insured’s policy and term sheet necessary to develop a complete understanding of the insured’s insurance program.

Prepare timely and detailed claim disposition letters, ensuring compliance with policy.

Work with legal department to ensure accuracy of claim disposition letters.

Gather support documentation, as needed, from external sources, necessary to support disposition.

Provide suggestions for improvements of letter template and processes, as identified.

Provide weekly status report on letters to Claims Manager and executive management.

Process time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, both internal and external.

Understand the job functions and processes of the Claim Department and assist as needed.

Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:

Minimum of 2 years experience working in the lending industry.

Insurance background is preferred, however not necessary.

Thorough understanding of underwriting and consumer lending.

College degree ( Para legal experience is a plus)
